Snorkeling in bubbling hot springs is usually impossible as the water is far too hot, but the hot springs at the bottom of Lake Kleifarvatn provide us with the opportunity to do just that!

Lake Kleifarvatn is hidden within a stunning volcanic landscape just 30 minutes outside of Reykjavík. Standing at the lake shore and changing into your dry suit, you will probably catch a whiff of the sulfur emitted from nearby hot springs and the total silence will let you forget that you are anywhere near civilisation.

We will provide you with all necessary gear required for snorkeling.

DEPARTURE/RETURN LOCATION

We offer pickup from multiple places in Reykjavik if needed.

Please bring: long thermal underwear and two pairs of thick wool socks. Please be sure to fill out the required Medical Statement by following this link: http://checkin.dive.is/

PLEASE NOTE

Participants must:

have read, signed, and followed directions on the Snorkeling Silfra Medical Statement
sign our liability release form at the start of the tour
be between 150cm and 200cm in height
be between 45kg and 120kg in weight
fit within our dry suit size chart
be minimum 12 years of age on the year
be comfortable in the water and be able to swim
be physically fit
be ready to wear a sometimes tight and constricting dry suit
be able to communicate in English or have a translator available at all times during the tour
not be pregnant

CANCELLATION POLICY

We will charge a cancellation fee of 100% if booking is cancelled 1 day or less before the event.
We will charge a cancellation fee of 50% if booking is cancelled 2 days or less before the event.
