Our Private Silfra Wetsuit Snorkel Tour gives your group exclusive access to one of the world’s most breathtaking natural wonders — the glacial fissure in Þingvellir National Park where two tectonic plates meet. With visibility up to 100 metres and water filtered through volcanic rock for decades, this is an experience your group will talk about for years.
This private tour is perfect for families, friend groups, corporate outings, stag and hen parties, birthdays and any special occasion where you want a personal, unhurried experience in the water. Because the tour is exclusively yours, we go at your pace — no strangers, no rushing, just your group and our certified guide.
Unlike most operators in Silfra who use bulky drysuits, we use specialist 7mm open-cell wetsuits — warmer, more flexible and far more comfortable. You float effortlessly through the fissure taking in the full scale and beauty of the Silfra Hall and Cathedral, in some of the clearest water on earth.
We welcome large groups. There is no upper limit on group size — for groups of up to 6 people one guide is included, and for larger groups we simply add additional certified guides to make sure everyone gets the same level of attention and safety. Just let us know your group size when booking and we’ll arrange everything.
No prior snorkelling experience is needed. Our guides will brief everyone thoroughly before entering the water and will be with you throughout. All equipment is provided — you just need to show up with a sense of adventure.
We always bring cameras into the water. Our guide photographs every member of your group during the tour — capturing you floating above the tectonic rift, drifting through the Cathedral and exploring the crystal-clear depths of Silfra. All photos are included in the price, so you leave with incredible memories and stunning images to share.
