Want Silfra all to yourself? Our Private Silfra Freedive Tour gives your group exclusive access to one of the world’s most breathtaking dive sites — the glacial fissure in Þingvellir National Park where two tectonic plates meet. With visibility up to 100+ metres and water filtered through volcanic rock for decades, this is an experience your group will never forget.
This private tour is perfect for families, friend groups, corporate outings, stag and hen parties, birthdays and any special occasion where you want a personal, unhurried experience in the water. Because the tour is exclusively yours, we go at your pace — no strangers, no rushing, just your group and our expert certified guide.
We welcome large groups. There is no upper limit on group size — for groups of up to 6 people one guide is included, and for larger groups we simply add additional certified guides to make sure everyone gets the same level of attention and safety. Just let us know your group size when booking and we’ll arrange everything.
No prior freediving experience is needed. Our guides will brief everyone thoroughly before entering the water and will be with you throughout the dive. All equipment is provided including specialist 7mm open-cell freediving wetsuits, which are warmer and more flexible than standard drysuits — meaning your group can actually dive beneath the surface and explore the fissure properly rather than just floating on top.
We always bring cameras into the water. Our guide will photograph every member of your group during the dive — capturing you between the tectonic plates, gliding through the Cathedral and exploring the crystal-clear depths of Silfra. All photos are included in the price, so you leave with incredible memories and stunning images to share.
