Learn to Freedive
AIDA & PADI freediver courses
Taught by an AIDA Master Instructor Trainer and PADI Freediver Instructor Trainer — from your very first breath-hold to advanced, instructor-track certification. Courses run year-round, booked by inquiry rather than the live calendar.
Course levels
AIDA 1★ — your gateway to freediving
A one-day introduction covering equipment, breathing, equalising, safety, and static apnea training — theory, dry sessions, and pool time. No exam required. By the end you'll know whether you want to take it further.
AIDA 2★ — into open water
Two days building on AIDA 1★: breath-hold and relaxation technique, dynamic apnea, and open water sessions practicing equalising and rescue procedures. Finish comfortable diving to 16–20m. To pass: a 2:00 static, a 40m pool swim, a 14m line dive, and 75% on the exam.
AIDA 3★ — take it to the next level
Three days on Frenzel equalising, O2/CO2 tables, free-falling technique, and more rescue scenarios. Finish comfortable diving to 24–30m. Requires AIDA 2★ and age 18+ (16 with guardian consent). To pass: a 2:45 breath-hold, a 55m dynamic swim, a 22m constant weight dive, and 75% on the exam.
AIDA 4★ — assistant instructor level
Four days on deep freediving technique, exhale diving, mouth-fill equalising, plus stretching, cross-training, and diet. Once certified you can assist on AIDA certification courses. Requires AIDA 3★ and age 18+ (16 with guardian consent). To pass: a 3:30 breath-hold, a 75m dynamic swim, a 32m constant weight dive, and 75% on the exam.
