Freediving safari around “The pearl of Eyafjordur”

A unique opportunity to explore a remote Icelandic island from the land and the sea. The Pearl of Eyafjordur, as Hrisey island, is also known, is an island in the middle of the fjord Eyafjordur, full of great freediving spots to enjoy. It is also haven for birds, as per why cats and dogs are not allowed on it. It is an amazing place with a rich flora and fauna to enjoy especially in the summer.

|WEAR||Comfortable warm clothing.|
We meet up in our home in Arkogssandur. in the morning as the tour takes the whole day if you want to enjoy all the wonders of the island, where we will hand you a backpack with all your gear and packed lunch. Then we walk down to the harbor and catch the ferry which take us across to the Island. We will divide our time between easy hiking in the untouched bird habitat that the island is, a picnic and freediving from the shore. If you keep your eyes out at the sea, chance are you will probably see some dolphins or whales!
8.00 AM – 09.00 AM: Getting to Hrisey and briefing
- If pickup in Akureyri, then we arrive at your hotel at 8:00 AM
- It will take you around an half an hour to drive to us
- If you are at another location please be sure to find out how long the drive is, we can maybe also pick you up, just let us know in advance.
- Arrive at the center, we hand you you pack.
- take the ferry (ferry ride not included, about 1500isk return)
09.00 AM – 10.30 PM:
10.30 AM - 12.30 AM: We gear up and dive
12.30 AM - 13.30 PM: Last but not least
13.30 AM - 14.00 PM: rest, meditate, explore...
14.00 AM - 19.00 PM: hike dive and secret destination...
19.00 AM - 19.30 PM: we head home...
