Geothermal vent freediving

Arnarnesstrýtur is a protected area full of life from wolf fish to maybe even whales. The site cover quite a vast area of chimneys with hot freshwater spilling out into the sea. They are a rare opportunity to see geothermal activity underwater and the amazing affects this has to the sea. The maximum depth of this dive is about 25m.
|START TIME||Please arrive by 16:30 pM|
|END TIME||Approximately 18:30 PM the next day|
|WEAR||Comfortable warm clothing.|
We meet up in our home in Arkogssandur. ideally in the morning. Once we have geared up we start by a briefing where you will learn about the ecology of this amazing place along with a pre dive briefing.
We then head to the site, where you have no time limit to explore Arnarnesstrýtan and enjoy its breathtaking beauty.
. Once the tour is finished you are welcome to use our hot tub (from the 15th of June)…
09.30 AM – 10.00 AM: Pre dive brief and gearing up
Due to the special nature of the site, and it being a protected area we will talk to you about things to do and not to do during the tour
10.00 AM – 12.00 PM (roughly): Dive
There is no time limit, whatever you want to do.
12.00 PM – 13.00 PM: End
We head back, have a warm shower, hot cocoa…
